Dr. Micah Luong
|
Dr. Micah Luong is dual trained in Optometry and Ophthalmology. He has special interest in glaucoma and ocular surface disease. Originally from Edmonton, Dr. Luong received degrees at the Universities of Alberta, Waterloo and Calgary. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys spending time with his young family.
Dr. Luong speaks English and Chinese. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Canadian Medical Association, Eye Physician and Surgeons of Alberta, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Alberta College of Physicians and Surgeons, Canadian Ophthalmology Society, Alberta Medical Association. |
Dr. Malcolm Gooi
|
Dr. Malcolm Gooi practices medical comprehensive ophthalmology. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Calgary after receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Toronto. Dr. Gooi also studied at the Richard Ivey School of Business, earning his bachelor degree in Business Administration with Honours.
Dr. Gooi enjoys combining his business management background and medical training, with an interest in using analytical research and value based medicine to help patient advocacy. His population health research has helped secure substantial funding for the Manitoba Centre for Health Policy; and his publication in generic drug pricing has been adopted into the Health Sector Executive Program curriculum at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. He is currently researching the cost effectiveness of various glaucoma surgical devices. Dr. Gooi has received various distinctions, including the Dr. Louis Kagan Memorial Award in Ophthalmology, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research - Health Professional Student Research Award, and the Morrie Schneiderman Award for Excellence in Operations from the Richard Ivey School of Business. |
